The new Amazon Kindle Paperwhite looks just like the old one, but has an improved display and a faster processor. Is used in the White Paper, the latest generation of E Ink display called Carta. They should reflect less and increase the contrast by 50 percent. And actually, if I create the old and the new model next to each other, the higher contrast is immediately apparent, the black looks on the new Kindle a bit darker

The integrated LED lighting can now adjust brighter, and actually already quite sufficient maximum 73 cd / m², the predecessor to read in the dark.
