Shortly before the book fair Amazon.de there is once again making headlines. The new Kindle Paperwhite (short test on lesen.net) was ahead of its sales launch reduced for members of Amazon Prime service of 129 euros to 99 euros (09:10.) – A discount of 20 percent to the delight of the audience and the horror of Tolino Alliance.
Since publication of the first-generation Kindle Paperwhite last fall, Amazon has not turned on the price: the premium model consistently cost 129 euros, while the price of the “normal” sugzessive fell on Kindle now only 49 Euros. Now there is a direct first big discount: Amazon Prime customers will get the new Kindle Paperwhite goes on sale for 99 euros instead of 129 euros (special price is currently only available for Prime members, see screenshot)

Amazon Prime costs 29 euro per year, but there are particular advantages Shipping (free Premium-shipment, shipping them with orders under 29 euros). In addition, Prime customers borrow a Kindle book from the lending library per month, where walk-to-date, especially indie authors. In the U.S., yet also encompasses Amazon Prime Free movies and music, there is the service but also significantly more expensive (79 US-Dollar/Jahr).
Who is not a prime customer and still wants to buy the Kindle Paperwhite, gets paid a one-year membership of the Action de facto. Existing Prime members (how many there are, this makes Amazon no official figures) get the new Kindle Paperwhite at a really good price. At 99 euros the White Paper is just as expensive as the Tolino Shine as effective networked light reader, but has both technical (e-ink Carta) and in terms of firmware, and the ecosystem in the lead. Known disadvantage is the extensive attachment to the Amazon eBook purchase.
