The online retailer Amazon.de opened a new deals section where selected week German language e-books are offered reduced. The “Kindle Deal of the Week” are also a demonstration of power.
Amazon has long presented in its corporate blog kindlepost.de “Kindle Deal of the Day”. This, however, is English literature. Reason is the book price, have after the German e-books cost the same amount to anywhere.
English-language e-books have in this country by no means the tension as German-language titles (with a few exceptions), and so Amazon has come up with something new. The company now appears obvious to publishers directly approach and agreed with them weekly special rates for selected e-books.
Kindle Deals of the Week: Big Discounts on Ex-seller
The first four “Kindle Deal of the Week” can then be seen, price and content. The psychological thriller “blind instinct” is reduced to Thursday from 7.99 euros to 3.99 euros, the Oriental novel “The Morning of Drunkenness” of 9.99 euros to 4.99 euros. “A new beginning in Virgin River” costs 3,49 € instead of 7,49 €, and for the non-fiction book “A short history of the world for young readers – from prehistoric times to the present” are 3,99 € instead of 9,99 € pay. ” / p>
So there is consistently plus or minus 50% discount. There is – keyword: book price – of course not only on Amazon. Interested to the “Kindle Deal of the Week” in the competition but once looking for. It is also apparent that not all e-books are on offer everywhere the same: How is “blind Instikt” ebook.de currently still at the old price to pay, “beginning in Virgin River” at Thalia still costs 4 euros more than at Amazon .
price action thus works for Amazon, even though it is not exclusive. Sporadically, the company has already done so something in the past about at Easter – now go to the German “Kindle Deal of the Week” series. It speaks for the market power of Amazon that you can move to the publishers of such significant rebates of top titles of their program (the best time however is already over).
side note: Neither during the Easter action still to be found among the first Kindle Deals of the week self-publishing titles. This is certainly also due to the already low sale prices of this type, given the dominance of Indie Amazon.de’s in the e-book charts but remarkable.
