The message on Selfpublisherbibel.de is short: “completely occupied the Amazon Kindle Top-10 of Self publishers”. However, the consequences could be more important than one would think at first glance. Referring to the named fact, adding that the Kindle Top 100 of Self publishers are dominated, we are talking about a million sales, which the publishers and especially to Thalia, the world & Co passes, as many self publishers focus on Amazon.
Now may push some of these figures smiling looking aside and refer to the much larger volume of the overall market, but this is dangerous because it could be a spiral into gear. Still, the number of conditions in the Kindle charts are only limited known, but it is only a matter of time before the changes and rating sites and blogs are paying more to it. Imagine an e-book reader comparison with the following question before: Can you read on Reader xy all bestsellers? And if in the one device “yes” and the other “no”, then how much is still one if 5% of the screen is brighter, or the unit has a more button? The potential buyers are already unsettled by the question whether the desired non-Amazon Store soon yet exist.
to ignoreSelf Publisher or harder for them to break through barriers to entry, could lead to a painful awakening for some market participants. Probably but it will be too late for a change.
