Kindle 4.1 update brings a number of improvements - Macerkopf - Apple News from Cupertino

Amazon eBooks can be read via the associated touch Kindle app not only on the Kindle eBook readers, but among other things on the iPhone, iPad and iPod. Late last night Amazon has updated its Kindle app for iOS. Kindle 4.1 can be downloaded from the App Store. The app brings numerous improvements. In the release notes it says

  • Kindle for iOS version 4.1 offers several enhancements to the reading experience, based on feedback from our customers, as well as improvements to stability and performance.
  • Filter notebook: Readers can now filter just for bookmarks, notes, highlights, and even for markers in specific colors. Comments are so much easier to find. Customers can also navigate directly to the section with the note to see the context.
  • footers for pages: readers can now see the page number or the time remaining in the book below in the footer. Readers can choose between page numbers, time remaining in the book or a blank footer, simply by tapping on the text or a blank area. There is also a setting to disable the footer of pages.
  • refactoring Dictionaries: Dictionary interface has been updated for iOS7 and makes it easier for customers now, to switch between different languages ??and purchased dictionaries

  • improvements for collections: In the Library view, customers can now check to which collections already include a book and they can order books from several collections by using the function for multiple machining to remove or add. So readers can manage their collections easier.
  • Kindle 4.1 is 22.6 MB in size, requires iOS 6.0 or later and is available as a universal app for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch before.
