Oh, it’s much too hot today to write anything meaningful. Therefore, there’s now the first part of the new miniseries “Try that with the Kindle.” What you may NOT do anything with an e-reader, is quite impressive – you can gadgets such as the flat Do not place in a long line and let a drop after the other like dominoes. Okay, maybe in the original packaging. But that would of course already cheated. The other hand, goes with books, and there is even a world record for the longest “Book domino chain”.

But the last entry in the Guinness Book of World Records is out of date – because in the Seattle Public Library was the end of May a gigantic “Book Domino Chain” event instead. The U.S. librarians are anyway very skilled when it comes to people with special promotions to lure in their halls. In this case, presented more than two dozen volunteers in the large reading room of the SPL exactly 2,131 tome in a long series, focusing on shelves across the room and sometimes slipped through a picturesque draped reading model in swimsuit.

The first book of the chain was aptly titled “Before the Fall”, the last book was set up so that a reader, it fell right into his hand.
