Oath of office on eBook: U.S. Ambassador swears Kindle Touch – Engadget German


The future U.S. Ambassador to Switzerland, as usual made their oath to the U.S. Constitution, but not on a tangible copy of paper, but on an e-book. To this end, the text was open on a Kindle Touch on the Suzi LeVine then put her hand as she spoke the traditional oath. Whether the underlying symbolism join in this modernization of the procedure remains to be seen
